I’m not going to beat around the bush. I have an exciting idea to share and I want you to play a starring role.

You are an entrepreneur I truly admire and I’d like to invite you to be one of 16 rock-star entrepreneurs featured in my “Going Pro – the Untold Stories” (name TBD) bi-annual online magazine to be launched March, 2011.

Here’s the gist:

I’m putting together a free online magazine featuring the stories of 16 rock-star women entrepreneurs. Through a series of Q & A interview questions, these women will share how they went from start-up to superstar.

The magazine will be professionally designed and will include 16 Q & A style interviews, feature articles, inspired action steps, compelling quotes and targeted ads.

SO – you may be wondering why I want to do this project. Good question!

Here’s my big WHY –

THE NEED:

Every day, I talk to women entrepreneurs who really want to up their game. They’ve already had some degree of success in business, but something is preventing them from really taking their business to the next level. It might be time, it might be resources, it might be lack of knowledge or it might be fear.

Either way, they’ve had enough and they are ready to put excuses behind them and just do what it takes to build the business of their dreams. They are just DONE – done with all the crap of the past, and feel absolutely committed and ready to take a big leap forward and finally GO PRO.

And they need your help!

I hand-selected each of you because of the impact you’ve made on helping me grow my business (whether you know it or not!).

I know that people are itching to get a backstage look at what made someone successful. They are asking themselves: What was their tipping point? What did they have to overcome to get where they are? What can I do to create that kind of a brand for myself?

THE GOAL:

My primary goal is to inspire, inform and empower these women to take strong and strategic action in their businesses. I want YOUR stories to show them the way forward and be a source of energy when they feel like it just might be a bit too hard. I want to show them that it can be done through hearing from people who were once in their shoes.

I want this to be a truly kick-ass resource to help these women entrepreneurs step into some big shoes with confidence and know-how. And I’ll be launching it as a free gift in March 2011.

I’ve made it really easy to be involved.

Each JV partner will contribute:

  • Answers to 6-8 questions (sent via Google Docs)
  • A brief bio and headshot
  • Their “Go Pro” motto (quote, mantra, phrase)
  • A ¼ page ad or blurb featuring a product, program or service (optional)
  • A 500 word feature article (optional)

PLUS:

  • An exclusive gift* (not available anywhere else for free) to be included in a special virtual bonus backpack of Going Pro tools and resources.

*This special virtual bonus backpack is designed with list-building in mind. So, here’s how it works:

– You’ll provide a landing page URL where subscribers can collect your gift without having to opt-in.
-You’ll then offer a surprise or bonus gift that compliments your initial gift (e.g. worksheet, checklist etc). To access this extra value gift, visitors will be required to opt-in.

This strategy works because it’s based on the law of reciprocity – when given something for free, visitors feel compelled to return the favour.

*Note: Consider adding an autoresponder campaign that’ll help convert some of those subscribers into customers.

My big goal is to ensure that everyone gets as much value out of this experience as possible – from list-building to visibility to credibility.

As a JV partner, I’ll ask you to commit to a simple 3-phase email campaign kicking off March 1, 2011.

Phase 2: Remind – send your list a courtesy reminder

Phase 3: Reminder or Reminder plus Going Pro Coaching Program Up-Sell Invite  – send your list one final reminder, plus announce exciting contest news and Going Pro Coaching Program (should you choose to be an affiliate – optional).

Contest Details:

One lucky subscriber who joins in to my signature Going Pro coaching program will have the opportunity to be featured (cover shot and feature article) in the fall magazine edition. The winner will be chosen in Summer 2011 and announced as a teaser before the fall magazine is published. This is an additional leverage opportunity for you, as you’ll be able to send it to your audiences again in the Fall with the new edition, plus the premiere edition.
