We’re celebrating 100 episodes!
It’s a big day over here as we celebrate our 100th episode. It’s been a a winding road to get here, but I’m proud that we’re still going strong considering most podcasts fade after 7-10 episodes.
Thank you to everyone who’s been with me since the beginning, and everyone who has joined along the way.
This show originated back in 2014, as a place to have practical, actionable conversations about entrepreneurship and leadership. Now, many years later, it’s evolved just enough to keep the essence of its original purpose – practical, actionable advice but now with a dose of nuance and high-level explorations. And we’ve expanded to serve more than entrepreneurs to include women in professional roles, creative roles and a mix of all three.
And that leads me to our name change. We started the show as the Beyond PRO Podcast, evolved partway through into the Rise without Compromise podcast, and now at episode #100, we’ve officially become, the Everyday Leadership for Smart Women podcast.
As I spoke about in episode #99, we need a new definition of leadership – one that isn’t centred around fame, fortune or privilege, and instead available to everyone who seeks to take small, daily actions to help improve things for themselves and for others. That to me is way more interesting than focusing purely on the big, splashy spotlight moments we often equate with leadership.
And so, moving forward the podcast will really centre on supporting you in becoming a better, braver everyday leader. I’ll share a mix of practice strategies and advice, along with big ideas and perspective shifts in my regular, weekly solo episodes and then I’ve added some semi-regular Leader Spotlights as well.
These leader spotlights feature incredible women – mainly members of my LEAD.Well community – as a way to showcase the stories of women who embody the principles of everyday leadership.
