Why I can help you make more meaning AND more money
-
If you’re just starting out in business and building a brand from scratch – bring it to me (start-ups thrill me!).
- If you’ve got a brand, but it’s the world’s best kept secret – I’ll get you visible, pronto.
- If you’ve been playing small and hiding out – I’ll help you unleash your brand’s message in a BIG way.
- And if you’re spinning in circles trying to figure it all out (think: message, style, ideal client, story) – then let’s not waste another minute.
Your brand is your most valuable asset
And building a GREAT brand is your fastest track to more meaning and more money.
That means more freedom, more fun, more time with your family, more impact and more of that delicious internal satisfaction that comes when you’re using your gifts and strengths in a way that services the world.
Who I am
I’m Stephanie Pollock and I’m on a serious mission to empower women in business, like you, to brand from the inside out.
I’m ready for you to start owning up to your greatness and claiming your stake at the business table. (You know you want to)
That means that rather than look to your colleagues or competition for the way forward, you blaze your own trail.
It means that rather than dismissing the values, gifts, strengths and personality quirks that make you – YOU, you leverage the hell out of them and claim them as your distinctive difference.
And it means making serious money while you do it.
Banish Boring Me-Too Brands Forever!
There are more than enough me-too brands out there playing a daily game of digital copycatting. You can find a blueprint or formula or system tomorrow that’ll have you build a brand in a week. But I know that if you’re reading this, you’re not looking for any cookie-cutter brand.
You’re ready to go big and bold (and maybe even a little brash).
My friend, you’re in the right place.

My Story
The Dream::
I never thought I’d become an entrepreneur. I didn’t start small little businesses when I was a kid. I didn’t dream of owning my own company one day.
But I was a natural leader. I was mayor of my grade six class, captain of my field hockey and soccer teams, co-chair and chair of numerous volunteer committees, Vice Chair of one of my city’s largest not-for-profit and a participant in a 10-month community-based leadership development program.
I love to lead. It’s in my blood.
What I don’t love is anyone telling me what to do (just ask my mom). I’m not a rebel for rebellion’s sake. And I’m hardly living life on the fringe.
But I’m stubborn, tenacious and not at all interested in following somebody else’s vision for what I should do with my time, my creativity and my life. I’ve resisted authority my entire life. I never really understood why somebody’s job title meant that they were more important than me. Values disconnect there.
So, while I had a great 6-figure corporate job for a few years that brought about travel, opportunity, status and a hefty annual bonus – it just wasn’t for me. I quit before I turned 30 (bewildering most of my friends and family I’m sure) in pursuit of a dream. The entrepreneurial dream.
The Dip::
I went through several iterations and brands in my business. It took a long time to get clear on what I do, who I do it for and why the hell I do it (the most important question of all).
I had logo changes, website overhauls and numerous sets of business cards. I questioned, considered, wondered and doubted myself. I considering saying, “to hell with this” and getting a job at Starbucks.
It took having two kids, no extra time and some serious soul-searching for me to finally get it right. What I know for sure – entrepreneurship is NOT for the faint of heart.
The Decision::
And then one day – I got it.
Not like some big lightening strike or anything, but just an inner knowing that I was on the right track. That I was doing important work. That I had something incredible to offer women in business struggling to build a powerful and profitable brand that is so THEM.
And when I got it – like, really got it – my world opened up.
You can have this too.
Where do we go from here?
So that brings us to day. And why you’re here reading my story.
Never in our history, have we had such an unprecedented opportunity to create both meaning AND money, simply by being ourselves. You are in a unique position to effectively create a big-name brand for yourself and your biz (if that’s your M.O.) without re-mortgaging your house to do it.
And I’m here to help you do it.

The Backstory to the Story::
Looking for the backstory to the story? Here are a few extra details about me, just for the overly curious::
In addition to being a Brand Activator + Coach, I’m also:
- Wife to my awesome hubby Gord (who has the BEST Facebook status updates ever. Seriously. People who don’t know him ‘friend’ him just to read them. They’re that good.
- Mom to a 2 1/2 year old son and 1 year old daughter (I’m grooming them early to be entrepreneurs)
- Dog mom to a rescue mutt with a wickedly sensitive tummy (she vomits when she yawns. I’m not kidding)
- A food network junkie (Is it pathetic that I learned to cook from watching the Food Network? I shouldn’t admit these things)
- An avid book collector (many of which I haven’t read)
- A magazine lover – (Gord has vowed never to move them again – it’s been three times already)
- A non-comformist at heart – (why do things the conventional way? It’s so much more interesting to shake it up)
- Fascinated by sharks ever since I saw JAWS as a child – (weird. I know.)
- Community minded – I’ve been an avid volunteer (it’s taken a backseat to babies and business, but it’ll be back)
- An optimistic and a big picture thinker who can always see what is possible – (this drives my husband crazy. He’s a realist. We work it out).
- A cover girl (sorry – couldn’t resist). No, I’m no model. Trust me! But I did get the honour of being on the cover of Calgary Inc magazine as one of the Top 40 Under 40. That was pretty damn cool.
Looking for some hard credentials (these are kinda boring though…)?
- I’ve worked in communications for two of the largest international not-for-profits in the world: YMCA and the Red Cross
- I worked in Community Investment for a major oil & gas company and held responsibility for creating dynamic community partnerships with the non-profit community and leveraging these gifts to enhance the company’s brand reputation in its key stakeholder communities
- In 2006, Calgary Inc magazine (now under Avenue magazine) named me as one of Calgary’s Top 40 Under 40 for my career success, contribution to community and for raising Calgary’s profile
- In 2005, Alberta Venture magazine named me as one of the 13 Young Leaders to Move Alberta into the Future
- I’m a graduate of Leadership Calgary
- I am a trained coach through the Coaches Training Institute (CTI)
