Not every day is fun in business.

Sometimes in fact, it’s just plain hard.

Confusion rules your roost and you wonder when it’s all going to come together.

Or your lack of motivation makes it hard to do even the simplest task.

Maybe you feel overwhelmed with the sheer magnitude of your never-ending to-do list.

Sometimes, it’s just plain hard.

And it’s hard for us all.

No matter how long you’ve been in business, how much money you’re making or how popular your blog – every single entrepreneur has moments where they feel like throwing in the towel.

So what do you do when you feel like hiding out, watching TV re-runs and throwing your laptop off your balcony?

Ok, I’m fully aware that this is going to seem like ridiculously simple advice….but let me ask you, are you doing it?

The next time the business ho-hums have got you, here are three ways to bust out and get back to feeling excited in biz again:

1. Take a break: this is a clear sign it’s time to disconnect from your iPhone, laptop, Twitter, Facebook and the works. You need time to just “be” – it’s actually where your best creative ideas come from.

2. Take action: this is the fastest way to bust out of a business rut. When you take action – however small – you aren’t able to also focus on being overwhelmed, worried and stressed-out. So, what do you take action on? Anything works – but I vote for tackling the item that’s carrying the most negative energy. If you’ve got something hanging over your shoulder – take one step to move it closer to completion.

3. Take stock: We focus WAY too much on what we haven’t done yet, and WAY too little time celebrating all that we have accomplished. Grab a piece of paper and pen, and list off all the things you have done this week to move your business forward. You’d be surprised. Celebrate your success regularly to keep you motivated and inspired.

Simple advice, but it works every time.

Give one a try when it’s just plain hard.
