It’s reality check time.
Let’s face it – entrepreneurship can really suck sometimes. It’s not easy to be the CEO of everything in your business – making tough decisions, not always knowing where the next dollar is coming from and putting yourself out there.
But let me remind you. YOU signed up for this.
You wanted the dream. The possibility of freedom, flexibility, creative ownership, financial success and the chance to make a real difference.
How’s that going for you?
If you’ve got a business you love, clients you adore and who adore you, a bank account that makes you tingle and a lifestyle that allows you the freedom to live your dreams – well, then don’t bother reading this.
But if you’re struggling in your business – if the bills are just barely getting paid (or aren’t getting paid), if you’re unclear about who you are, what you do and who you do it for or if you’re just starting to consider throwing in the towel and getting a J-O-B , then read on.
If you’re still reading – I want you to know that I get where you are. I’ve been there. Which is why I get so lit up when I think of other people sitting in entrepreneurial purgatory hoping to finally, maybe someday, make it big in business.
Because I know that if you’re sitting there wishing you could have the successful business you see others having – chances are good you aren’t doing your work. You aren’t taking action every single day – come hell or high water – to move your business forward.
You’re caught in the tight grasp of resistance. And resistance is a bitch.
In his book, “The War of Art,” author Steven Pressfield describes resistance as insidious.
Resistance will tell you anything to keep you from doing your work. It will perjure, fabricate, falsify; seduce, bully, cajole. Resistance is protean. It will assume any form, if that’s what it takes to deceive you.
It will reason with you like a lawyer or jam a nine-millimetere in your face like a stickup man. Resistance has no conscience. It will pledge anything to get a deal, then double-cross you as soon as your back is turned.
If you take Resistance at its word, you deserve everything you get. Resistance is always lying and always full of shit.
The way I see it, you have two choices – you can half-ass it or go all in. Your choice.
And it is a choice.
What do you choose? 
If you continue to half-ass it out of fear or lack of clarity, you are making a choice to play small and deprive the world of your greatest talents and gifts. Shame.
If you decide to go all in and truly Go Pro – then I promise the universe will conspire to help you get there. It won’t happen overnight, but it will happen. I’ve seen it too many times to not believe this is a universal truth.
So here’s what I want you to do – right now. And I really mean, RIGHT NOW.
I want you to identify ONE thing you can do in your business to move it forward – and then DO IT! It doesn’t have to be monumental. It doesn’t have to be huge. Just ONE step you can take to progress something along.
And then I want you to get up tomorrow morning and do one more thing that’ll move your business forward. Then lather, rinse, repeat.
If you don’t know what action to take – get help. Nobody should go it alone. Hire a coach, find a mentor or start a mastermind group. Learn from people who have done what you want to do.
Keep taking action. Keep putting yourself out there. Keep pushing through the resistance. Keep learning and trying your way out of ‘stuckness’.
If you do this – your business will literally transform.
Your choice.
